An intermittent series of poetry, glorifying God through His words
No blood shall stain Sacred ground today Hushed confirmations Set out on your way Thick undergrowth clears Reveals Him bowed, unaware Bathed in delicate aura Venture, would you dare? He offers no resistance Silencing the swords and clubs Not a word is spoken Bare feet grazing stray shrubs He looks your way just once Holds your gaze As if to absolve Wash away the heady daze Ripped wide open Gates flung, hands flailed His soothing balm rushes in Dark contempt has set its sail Chains snap shut Across the blameless wrists You feel your soul pierced through Thirty pieces escape clenched fists Faint glow of torches Illumine the velvet sky He utters no reproach No resounding battle cry This day the price is paid The prophecy still stands On this sacred ground Was slain a spotless Lamb
